In the article “Italian cruise ship captain to be questioned; 29 remain missing” the main idea is to inform the public about what is happening to the captain who sunk cruise ship off of Italy’s western coast. This story is written by Dan Rivers, a reporter form CNN. This source is very reliable because it was posted on one of the worlds top news station and if their facts weren’t true they would be seriously sued. In the story it explains that Francesco Schettino (cruise ship captain) is in under arrest. He may face as many as 3 different charges including shipwreck, manslaughter and abandoning ship while passengers here on board. This article was written on the 16th of January and the trial was to be held the next day. The author does not show any signs of slant or a bias because in an informative piece you need just the facts and no opinions.
