Three killed after cruise ship, costa Concordia, runs aground off Italy

The author’s purpose is to inform because it is an informational article to tell you the reader what has happened and the main idea is that a cruise ship has crashed in Italy.
I did an analysis on the article and it is “accurate information” because it meets the entire correct checklist for reliability like URL, spelling/grammar, professionalized, logo.
I did it because it was breaking news and there were more changes later when more details and evidence came available.
The accuracy of the information matched other sources and information because I have looked at other sources.
The author’s viewpoint: main idea is to inform the readers that a cruise ship had crashed in Italy. The author’s opinion is to tell people that people on board died and that they don’t know why the captain went off of the course.
